Before Seeed intervened, Samsonite LATAM faced a classic scaling paradox. To launch a new brand (e.g., Xtrem) in a new country (e.g., Peru), the team had to duplicate and manually configure a Shopify theme.
Regional teams were manually uploading spreadsheets to 20+ Shopify instances. This led to fragmented product data, missing lifestyle assets, and inventory inaccuracies.
Shopify’s native search is restricted to its internal catalog. It could not "see" the complex metadata, lifestyle videos, or custom product options residing in external data layers. For a customer looking for a "Blue Hard-Shell Spinner with Laptop Compartment," the search results were often "Zero Found," despite the product being in stock.
We bypassed the limitations of the monolith by architecting a three-tier data flow:
