Samsonite Latin America
Headless Data Architecture & AI Discovery
Jasper PIM, Klevu AI, Shopify Plus (Transactional), Builder.io.
100% decoupling of discovery data from the commerce engine. Indexing Depth: Full searchability of technical specs previously hidden in CSVs. Operational Savings: Eliminated 50+ hours/month of manual metadata configuration.
Samsonite LATAM’s catalog is technical. Customers don't just buy "suitcases"; they buy specific weights, dimensions, and TSA-approved features. Previously, these attributes were stored in Shopify Metafields.
Managing metadata within Shopify at an enterprise scale (9 countries, 20+ stores) is a "convoluted and complex" ordeal.
We re-engineered the stack to treat Shopify as a transactional utility rather than a data repository.
Instead of the standard PIM → Shopify → Search flow, we built a direct API integration between Jasper PIM and Klevu AI.
Result: The search engine "knows" more about the product than the Shopify store does. Every technical spec defined in the PIM is immediately a searchable facet in the UI.
Feature | Legacy Architecture (Shopify-Centric) | The Seeed "Headless Factory" |
|---|---|---|
Data Source | Convoluted Shopify Metafields | Centralized Jasper PIM |
Search Intelligence | Limited to Basic Catalog | Full AI Indexing of PIM Attributes |
Sync Strategy | Manual CSV/Spreadsheets | API-First Real-Time Sync |
Store Management | Manual per-store updates | Global Data Sovereignty |
By removing the "Metafield Bottleneck," we gave Samsonite LATAM a continental data engine. The marketing team now manages 20+ stores from a single Jasper dashboard, knowing that Klevu's AI will automatically index every new attribute for the end-user.
"We stopped fighting Shopify's metadata limits and started building around them. By connecting Jasper directly to Klevu, we ensured that every technical detail of a Samsonite product is a conversion opportunity, not a hidden line in a spreadsheet."
